Sport exhaust system with valves for Porsche Cayman 987 first series (Gen1, MK1), in polished 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel. It includes the silencer and the CES-3 back pressure control unit. It is flanged to the original manifolds.
The exhaust is controlled according to back pressure and freely programmable: a control unit monitors the back pressure and lets you program the back pressure you want to drive with, so as to reach maximum power and eliminate the share of back pressure that costs performance, at both low and high revs. The control unit has an illuminated display that shows all functions in plain text in three languages (German, English, Italian) and offers three modes selectable with the remote control: Cruise (the valves open later), Sport (the valves open earlier) and Open (valves always open); in Cruise and Sport the valve opening point is programmed. The control unit recognises the driving style: with aggressive acceleration it detects the type of back pressure being generated and opens the valves immediately, while with normal acceleration it opens them later.
Capristo recommends not revving the engine with the car standing still: the flames from the exhaust can cause damage to nearby property and people.
