IXIL, founded in Barcelona in 1955, designs stainless steel exhausts and silencers for motorcycles and maxi-scooters, in slip-on or bolt-on versions. Exan, founded in 1996 and now based in Lissone, makes silencers for sports bikes, naked bikes, supermotards and classics. Yoshimura, founded in Japan in 1954 by Hideo "Pops" Yoshimura, makes racing exhausts used in the Japanese and American Superbike championships. Termignoni, founded in 1968 in Predosa, in the province of Alessandria, makes silencers, headers and full systems used in MotoGP and Superbike. Akrapovič, founded in Slovenia in 1990, makes high-end exhaust systems with its own titanium foundry and has passed 100 world titles across motorcycle and car racing. MT-Race makes sport exhausts in titanium, carbon, anodised aluminium and stainless steel in Matera.
