The R231 is the sixth generation of the SL, the roadster Mercedes has been building since the 1950s: an almost all-aluminium body, folding hardtop and, on the SL 500 (SL 550 in America), the 4.7 twin-turbo V8 with 435 PS, raised to 455 with the facelift.

For the MERCEDES AMG SL 500 (R231) Capristo offers the cat-back system, with exhaust valves and the programmable CES-3 control unit to manage them. The approval status is shown on the product page.

Capristo works heat-resistant 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel in Germany and designs every system from a scan of the original car, so that it fits without modifications. The systems carry Capristo's 3-year warranty.
