Mazda has always gone its own way: the rotary engine, which took the 787B to victory at Le Mans in 1991, and the MX-5, the best-selling roadster ever. These are cars where lightness and balance matter more than power, and a bigger brake kit has to be chosen with care.
Brembo GT kits cover the fourth-generation MX-5 (ND) from 2016, the Mazda3 from 2019 and the 1993-1995 RX-7 FD, all for the front axle.
4, 6 or 8-piston aluminium calipers and larger drilled floating discs improve heat resistance and keep braking consistent on track days. For the MX-5 ND and Mazda3 there is also a GT-R version, with monobloc calipers machined from billet. Before ordering, check that your wheels leave room for the new calipers, especially if you are still on the original sizes.
