Capristo
Capristo programmable control unit for exhaust valves: it controls the exhaust back pressure and lets you individually program the back pressure you want to drive with, filtering out the part that costs power: in this way the engine achieves maximum power at both low and high revs. Most valved exhausts open according to speed or revs, but the engine is affected by back pressure, which increases with revs and depends on engine load. An illuminated display shows all functions in plain text in three languages (German, English, Italian), and the remote control selects three modes: Cruise (the valves open later), Sport (they open earlier) and Open (they stay open). In Cruise and Sport the opening point is programmable. The control unit recognises the driving style: if you accelerate aggressively it detects this from how the back pressure builds up and opens the valves immediately, while with normal acceleration it opens them later.
