Exhaust valve kit for Ferrari F355 that solves a known problem of the 355 models. The original valve needs vacuum to open fully: if there is a leak in the circuit (a porous hose or similar), the valve can no longer open and too much back pressure builds up at high revs, one of the reasons why the 355 manifolds get damaged. The Capristo valve works the other way round: if the vacuum circuit fails, it opens automatically and stays open. It also has the patented Capristo play-free mount, which ensures optimal, vibration-free operation even at high temperatures.

The kit includes the exhaust valve, the switching solenoid valve, the silicone vacuum hose, two sealing rings and the vacuum actuator with heat protection. The Capristo manual valve control can be ordered as an option with this valve.

It is essential to use the solenoid valve supplied: the original one (black, with black connectors) is located on the right side behind the rear bumper, and if it is not replaced the valve would stay open at low revs and close at high revs, exposing the engine to excessive back pressure.
