Exhaust system with valves for Nissan GT-R MK3 (from 01/2012), in polished 1.4828 (T309) stainless steel. It replaces the post-catalyst and the centre silencer (non-silenced centre pipe) and includes the rear silencer with valves, the CES-3 programmable control unit, the remote controls and the accessories.

With the CES-3 control unit the system is freely programmable and controlled according to back pressure: you set the back pressure you want to drive with, so as to obtain the maximum available power and eliminate the share of back pressure that costs power. Most valved exhausts open their valves according to speed or revs, but the engine is affected by back pressure, which increases with revs. The control unit has control LEDs and an RDS transmitter that sends values and functions to the car radio display, and it is adjusted with the key fob remote controls. Three modes: Cruise (the valves open later), Sport (the valves open earlier) and Open (valves always open). In Cruise and Sport you set the valve opening threshold, and you can choose the mode in which the car starts. The control unit recognises the driving style: if you accelerate aggressively it detects the back pressure building up and opens the valves immediately, while with moderate driving it opens them later. The Capristo-Control-Center software is supplied, in German, Italian and English, with which you can view all values and make all settings.

Capristo recommends not revving the engine with the car standing still: the large flames that can come out of the exhaust can set the vehicle on fire.

ECE homologated, approved for road use (approval valid only for the GT-R MK3).
