The Ducati 916 Racing represents the pinnacle of sportiness in the 1990s, a motorcycle that wrote the history of speed on track and road. With its 916cc desmodromic twin and razor-sharp chassis, this red queen deserves a braking system worthy of its performance. Original discs, while valid, begin to show braking power and heat dissipation limitations in demanding braking over time. Brembo Serie Oro completely transforms the braking experience, delivering the bite and progressivity that the 916 Racing commands.
The Brembo Serie Oro 78B40870 front kit features 320mm diameter discs with 5mm thickness, specifically calibrated for Ducati 916 Racing geometry. These vermicular cast iron discs represent the pinnacle of road braking technology, guaranteeing consistent performance in long straights and repeated corner braking. The replacement is completely direct: no adapters needed, no mechanical intervention, pure installation simplicity.
The lightweight aluminium bell significantly reduces unsprung weight, improving front wheel dynamic response and chassis management in corner entry. The dual-stage drilling efficiently evacuates heat generated in violent braking and friction gases, keeping disc temperatures within optimal ranges even after intensive sessions. Superior pad bite ensures modulability and natural progressivity, exactly what a 916 Racing sport rider seeks.
These discs are TÜV type approved for road use throughout Europe and represent a direct OEM replacement without caliper revision. Drop-in mounting guaranteed: unscrew the bolts, insert the new discs, tighten and you're ready. 100% Made in Italy by Brembo is a guarantee of build quality and long-term reliability.
