Unveiled at Geneva in March 2018, the 488 Pista brings to the road what Ferrari learned with the 488 Challenge and 488 GTE racers: the twin-turbo 3.9 V8 rises to 720 PS with race-derived components, and weight drops by around 90 kg compared with the GTB. The Pista Spider followed in August at Pebble Beach.
For the Ferrari 488 Pista/Pista Spider (2018-2020), Armytrix offers the titanium version of the Valvetronic cat-back and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
