Successor to the F430, the 458 Italia was unveiled at Frankfurt in 2009: a naturally aspirated, direct-injection 4.5 V8 with 570 PS that revs to 9,000 rpm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and no manual alternative. The Spider followed in 2011, with an aluminium hard top that folds away in 14 seconds.
For the Ferrari 458 Italia/Spider (2010-2015), Armytrix offers the titanium version of the Valvetronic cat-back, the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers, catalyst replacement pipes and the headers. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
