With the 570S, unveiled in New York in 2015, McLaren opened its Sports Series range, more accessible than the Super Series but built the same way: a MonoCell II carbon tub and the twin-turbo 3.8 M838TE V8 behind the seats. The 540C is the entry point and the 570GT the touring version, with a side-hinged rear hatch; the range stayed on sale until 2021.
For the McLaren 540C/570S/570GT (2015-2021), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and catalyst replacement pipes. Tips are available in carbon. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
