Unveiled in 2015, the 981 Boxster Spyder uses the 3.8 flat six shared with the Cayman GT4 and the 911 Carrera S, paired only with a manual gearbox: a pared-back roadster built for people who simply want to drive.

For the Porsche 981 Boxster Spyder (2012-) you will find a cat-back system by Armytrix, with Valvetronic silencers with remotely controlled valves. It has twin outlets of 89 mm with chrome, blue and black tips. On request: decat sports headers with catalyst emulator.

Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Parts without a catalyst are not road approved and are for track use only.
