Unveiled in 2004, the 997 dropped the 996's headlights and returned to the traditional oval units, with a better finished cabin. The Carrera has a 325 PS 3.6 flat-six, the Carrera S a 355 PS 3.8 with PASM electronically controlled dampers as standard; the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 and 4S followed in 2005, then the Targa.

For the Porsche 911 Carrera (997.1) Carrera/4/S/4S 3.6/3.8 Coupé/Cabriolet/Targa (2004-2008), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and catalyst replacement pipes. Tips are available in chrome silver and matte black. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.

Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port.
