The 971-series Panamera Turbo debuted in 2016 with the new 550 PS 4.0 twin-turbo V8, its turbochargers mounted inside the vee and the ability to shut down half its cylinders at part load. All-wheel drive, an eight-speed PDK, optional rear-axle steering and, from 2017, the Sport Turismo body as well.
For the Porsche Panamera (971) Turbo/Turbo Sport Turismo 4.0 V8 Non-OPF (2017-2023), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in matte black, blue coated, chrome silver and carbon. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
