The 997 GT3 stayed faithful to the water-cooled Mezger flat-six with its racing-derived crankcase: a 415 PS 3.6 in 2006, then a 435 PS 3.8 in the 2009 second series and 450 PS in the GT3 RS. The chapter closed with the 2011 GT3 RS 4.0, 500 PS and 600 units, the final road-going evolution of that engine.
For the Porsche 911 GT3/GT3 RS (997) 3.6/3.8/4.0 Titanium (2006-2011), Armytrix offers the titanium version of the Valvetronic cat-back and the headers. Tips are available in blue titanium and matte black. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port.
