The second Cayman GT4, launched in 2019 on the 718 platform, replaces the 981's 3.8 with a new naturally aspirated 4.0 flat-six producing 420 PS, able to shut down one cylinder bank at light load. Aerodynamics with more downforce, track-focused suspension and, at first, a manual gearbox only: a mid-engined coupé built for circuits yet road-legal.
For the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 (982) 4.0 (2019-2023), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers, catalyst replacement pipes and the headers. Tips are available in chrome silver, matte black, carbon, blue coated and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
