Unveiled at the end of 2021, the Cayman GT4 RS uses the naturally aspirated 4.0 flat-six from the 992-generation 911 GT3: 500 PS, 9,000 rpm and air intakes in place of the rear side windows that bring the induction sound into the cabin. It is PDK only, and in 2023 the same running gear moved into the 718 Spyder RS, its open-top counterpart.
For the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS/718 Spyder RS (982) 4.0 (2022-2025), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers, catalyst replacement pipes and the headers. Tips are available in chrome silver, matte black, carbon, blue coated and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
