With the third generation of the BMW era, the three-door F56 Mini grew in size and adopted the new modular engines: the Cooper S has a 192 PS 2.0 turbo four-cylinder, which reaches 231 PS in the John Cooper Works. Since 2016 the range has also included the F57 Convertible, with a power-operated fabric roof.
For the Mini Cooper S/JCW (F56/F57) 2.0 Turbo 3-door/Cabrio (2014-2018), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
