The R35 is the first GT-R not to carry the Skyline name: hand-assembled VR38DETT 3.8 twin-turbo V6, rear-mounted dual-clutch transaxle and ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive. Unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, it inherited the Godzilla nickname from the earlier GT-Rs.
For the Nissan GT-R (R35) 3.8 V6 Twin Turbo (2007-2025), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in blue titanium, matte black, gold, carbon and chrome silver. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
