The third Focus RS changed the rules of the series: all-wheel drive for the first time, with a system able to send torque to the outer rear wheel and a dedicated Drift mode. Under the bonnet is the 2.3 turbo EcoBoost, developed from the Mustang's unit, and from 2016 it was offered only as a five-door with a manual gearbox.
For the Ford Focus RS (MK3) 2.3 EcoBoost (2016-2018), Armytrix offers catalyst replacement pipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
