This 2-valve X-Pipe system replaces our existing R8 systems. due to the the X-pipe the sound of this system is further improved. It kind of screams out the power.
By a mass of 19kg (sports system) this system is way more lightweighted than the standard system.
We stress the fact, that one of these systems is made for racing purposes. The use of this exhaust on regular streets is forbidden in many countries. Please check the law in your country.
With use of the control unit the system is freely adjustable and pressure-controlled. The control unit gives you the ability to adjust the pressure you want to drive. In this way you can get the maximum available power. Pressure behavior which costs power will be regulated out.
This exhaust system combines all advantages in one package: Exact control about the driven pressure at any scenario. Thus you get maximum power in any case plus a sreaming racing sound.
Most valve controlled exhaust-systems open the valves depending on the driving speed or engine revolutions. But the engine is neither influenced by speed nor by revolutions, but by pressure, which increases according to the revolutions.
The control unit has control-LEDs and a RDS transmitter, which sends the values and functions to the car radio display. It can be adjusted by the remote controller (key fob). You get also the software \"Capristo-Control-Center\", by which all values can be shown and all adjustments can be done. The system works in three languages: German, Italian and English.
a) Cruise-Mode: The valves will open later.
b) Sport-Mode: The valves will open earlier.
c) Open-Mode: The valves open instantly at any time or situation.
By using the Cruise-Mode or Sport-Mode you can control the threshold for opening the valves. You can further set the favorite in which the car starts.
A big advantage of this control unit is the ability to recognise the driving style. In case the driver hits the pedal agressively, our unit will recognise the pressure that builds up and opens the valves immediately. Under moderate conditions the valves will open later.
The CES-3 is able to measure GPS and g-force data. Those data can be read out partially already by our software. This device is in permanent development. The following versions will be able to read out those data in their full complexity. So stay tuned for future software updates, later available in our download section.
