The fifth-generation A6, codenamed C8 and unveiled in 2018, brought a 48-volt electrical system with mild hybrid technology to the Avant estate. The 55 TFSI uses the 340 PS 3.0 turbo V6, with the turbocharger placed between the cylinder banks, paired with the seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro drive.
For the Audi A6 (C8) 55 TFSI Avant Non-OPF (2018-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in carbon, gold, chrome silver, blue coated and matte black. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
