The C7 RS6, launched in 2013 as an Avant only, marked the switch from the previous series' twin-turbo V10 to a 560 PS 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo V8, with the turbos inside the V and cylinder on demand shutting down half the cylinders under light load. Lighter than the C6, it has quattro drive with a crown-gear centre differential and the eight-speed tiptronic.
For the Audi RS6 (C7) 4.0 TFSI V8 Avant (2013-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
