With the late-2018 facelift, the second R8, codenamed 4S, had its range renewed: the V10 plus gave way to the V10 performance, still powered by the naturally aspirated 5.2 FSI ten-cylinder shared with the Lamborghini Huracán. Coupé or Spyder, it stayed true to a big naturally aspirated engine with no electrification until production ended in 2024.
For the Audi R8 (4S) V10 Performance 5.2 FSI Coupé/Spyder OPF (2019-2024), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and catalyst replacement pipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
