Unveiled in 2018 alongside the CLS53, the C238 E53 Coupé introduced the AMG 53 recipe: an M256 3.0 straight-six with a turbo, an electric auxiliary compressor and a 48-volt EQ Boost starter-generator. The result is 435 hp with instant shove, in a four-seat coupé with 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
For the Mercedes-AMG E53 (C238) Coupé (2018-2023), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
