In the W206 C-Class the C43 4MATIC changes philosophy: the V6 gives way to the M139 2.0 four-cylinder with an electric turbocharger, Formula 1-derived technology in which a small electric motor on the turbo shaft spins it up before the exhaust gas arrives. Output is 408 hp, with a 48-volt system, all-wheel drive and rear-axle steering as standard.
For the Mercedes-AMG C43 (W206) OPF (2023-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
