After the SLS, the C190 AMG GT is the second sports car developed entirely in Affalterbach, on sale as a coupé from 2015. The M178 4.0 twin-turbo V8, with dry-sump lubrication and turbos inside the vee, sits behind the front axle, while the dual-clutch gearbox is mounted at the rear in a transaxle layout: 462 hp for the GT, 510 hp for the GT S.
For the Mercedes-AMG GT/GT S (C190) Coupé (2015-2022), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
