Few compact estates have ever had an engine like the X118 CLA45 S Shooting Brake: the M139, a 421 hp 2.0 turbo hand-built in Affalterbach, paired with AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The CLA45 without the S, where sold, makes 387 hp; both keep the boot of a family estate.
For the Mercedes-AMG CLA45/CLA45 S (X118) Shooting Brake (2019-2025), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port.
