With the second generation the CLA45 moves to the M139, a hand-built 2.0 turbo four that reaches 421 hp and 500 Nm in the CLA45 S. AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive uses two clutches on the rear axle to split torque between the left and right wheels and, on the S, also offers Drift Mode, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
For the Mercedes-AMG CLA45/CLA45 S (C118) (2019-2025), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
