The W177 A45 S arrived in 2019 with a record: the 421 hp of its M139 made it the most powerful series-production four-cylinder in the world. The 2.0 turbo is hand-assembled in Affalterbach, the gearbox is an eight-speed dual-clutch, and the all-wheel drive with two rear-axle clutches enables Drift Mode; the A45 without the S makes 387 hp.
For the Mercedes-AMG A45/A45 S (W177) (2019-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
