The W167 GLE, unveiled in 2018, is the fourth generation of the Mercedes SUV that began as the M-Class. The GLE450 4MATIC uses the M256 3.0 straight-six with 48-volt EQ Boost, which adds an electric push under acceleration to its 367 hp, in an SUV that can also be ordered with a third row of seats.
For the Mercedes-Benz GLE450 (W167) SUV (2019-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
