The W463A G500, launched in 2018, keeps the body-on-frame construction, low-range gearbox and three differential locks that made the G-Class famous, but gains independent front suspension and a completely new interior. Its engine is the M176, a 422 hp 4.0 twin-turbo V8 from the same family as the AMG V8s.
For the Mercedes-Benz G500 (W463A) (2018-2024), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, square and square matte black. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
