With the 2017 facelift the W222 S63 dropped its 5.5 V8 for the M177, the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 with hot-vee turbos derived from the AMG GT's engine. Power rose to 612 hp and the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive gained variable torque distribution, in a flagship that combines sports-car pace with long-distance comfort.
For the Mercedes-AMG S63 (W222) Non-OPF (2017-2020), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
