The W166 GLE is the M-Class updated and renamed in 2015, while the C292 is its Coupé derivative, Mercedes' answer to the BMW X6. The GLE43 AMG, which started out as the GLE450 AMG, uses the M276 3.0 twin-turbo V6 with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic; the GLE400 shares the same V6 in a milder state of tune.
For the Mercedes-AMG GLE43/GLE400/GLE450 (W166/C292) SUV/Coupé (2016-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
