In the F22 2 Series, the M240i is the coupé sitting just below the M2: from 2016 it uses the B58 3.0-litre turbo straight-six with 340 PS, with rear-wheel or xDrive all-wheel drive and a manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox. Compared with the M235i it replaced, it has more torque and a newer-generation engine that responds more eagerly at low revs.
For the BMW M240i (F22) B58 Coupé Non-OPF (2016-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, gold and carbon. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
