The G01, the third generation of BMW's mid-size SUV, brought the X3 range its first M Performance model in 2017: the M40i, with the B58 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six, xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. This page covers the early cars, built without a gasoline particulate filter (OPF).
For the BMW X3 (G01) M40i Non-OPF (2018-2019), Armytrix offers downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
