The G82 M4 shares its chassis, brakes and S58 3.0-litre twin-turbo with the M3, but has two doors, a lower roofline and a more coupé-like character. It can be had with rear-wheel drive and a manual gearbox or as a Competition with the M Steptronic automatic, including M xDrive; the G83 convertible completes the family.
For the BMW M4 / M4 Competition (G82/G83) Coupé/Cabriolet 102mm Single Mid Pipe (2020-), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, matte black, gold, carbon and blue coated. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
