Thanks to extensive use of aluminium, the G30 5 Series weighs up to 100 kg less than the F10 it replaced in 2017, and the G31 Touring followed a few months later. In some markets the 2.0-litre turbo four of the 520i and 530i is the B46, a variant of the B48: this page covers cars with this engine and without a particulate filter.
