With the F97 in 2019, the X3 received a full M version for the first time. It also marked the debut of the S58, the 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six later used in the G80/G82 M3 and M4: 480 PS, 510 in the Competition, with M xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic.
For the BMW X3 M (F97) Non-OPF (2019-2024), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
