The second X4, code G02, arrived in 2018: compared with the X3 it is based on, it sits lower, has a sloping coupé roofline and a sportier set-up. The M40i is its M Performance petrol version, with the B58 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six and xDrive all-wheel drive; this page covers cars without a gasoline particulate filter.
For the BMW X4 (G02) M40i Non-OPF (2018-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, gold, carbon and matte black. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
