The two sides of this M4 generation are quite different: the F82 coupé has a carbon-fibre roof, while the F83 convertible uses a three-piece metal hardtop that folds in about 20 seconds, at the cost of extra weight. From mid-2018 both received a petrol particulate filter to meet WLTP rules.
For the BMW M4 (F82/F83) Coupé/Cabriolet Single Tube Track Edition (2014-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in carbon, gold, matte black, blue coated and chrome silver. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
