The second M2, code G87, has been built since late 2022 in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, alongside the 2 Series Coupé from which it is derived. It uses the S58 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six from the M3 and M4, with 460 PS at launch, rear-wheel drive and the option of a six-speed manual.
For the BMW M2 (G87) Titanium Series (2023-), Armytrix offers the titanium version of the Valvetronic cat-back and downpipes. Tips are available in titanium, blue titanium, matte black titanium and carbon. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
