The 440i Gran Coupé combines the four-door F36 body with the B58 straight-six, the 326 PS 3.0-litre turbo that arrived in the 4 Series in 2016 in place of the N55. It is a quick, compact grand tourer whose tailgate makes it usable every day, with a choice of rear-wheel drive or xDrive.
For the BMW 440i (F36) B58 Gran Coupé Non-OPF (2016-2019), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
