Below the M5, the fastest G30 5 Series is the M550i xDrive: an N63 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 with all-wheel drive, launched in 2017 with 462 PS and raised to 530 PS in 2019 with the evolved engine from the M850i. For the BMW M550i xDrive (G30/G31) Non-OPF Sedan/Touring (2017-2024), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
