The 2 Series, F22 coupé and F23 convertible with a fabric roof, arrived in 2014 when BMW split the two-door models from the 1 Series, keeping rear-wheel drive and a longitudinal engine. From 2016 the 220i and 230i use the B48 2.0-litre turbo four with 184 and 252 PS, the 230i taking over from the 228i.
For the BMW 220i/230i (F22/F23) B48 Coupé/Cabriolet (2016-2019), Armytrix offers downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
