As a G30 saloon or G31 Touring, the 540i combines the B58 straight-six with the understated character typical of the 5 Series: quiet on the motorway, it pulls with the smoothness of the 3.0-litre turbo when you open the throttle. On more recent European cars the B58 works with a gasoline particulate filter, and that is the version covered on this page.
For the BMW 540i (G30/G31) OPF Sedan/Touring (2019-2024), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
