With the F80 M3, BMW M focused above all on weight: a standard carbon-fibre roof, a composite propshaft and extensive use of aluminium in the suspension. Cars built from mid-2018 received the petrol particulate filter required by the WLTP cycle, together with a different propshaft.
For the BMW M3 (F80) Titanium OE Valve Control (2014-2019), Armytrix offers the titanium version of the Valvetronic cat-back and downpipes. Tips are available in carbon, matte black, blue titanium and chrome silver. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix systems are made in Taiwan in T304 stainless steel and titanium. At their heart is the valve in the silencer, opened and closed on command from the remote or the app, with a module that plugs into the car's OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
