A production M8 only arrived in 2019: the E31-based prototype of the early 1990s never made it to production. The F92 coupé is derived from the G15 8 Series and uses the S63 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 from the F90 M5, with 600 PS or 625 PS in Competition form, M xDrive all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic.
For the BMW M8 (F92) Coupé Non-OPF (2019-), Armytrix offers downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
