Four doors, a tailgate and a sloping roofline: the F36 is the 4 Series for those who want a coupé shape with saloon practicality. The 420i and 430i with the B46 engine are the versions for markets with stricter emissions rules: it is the SULEV variant of the B48 2.0-litre turbo four, with the same basic mechanicals and different emissions-control hardware.
For the BMW 420i/430i (F36) B46 Gran Coupé (2015-2018), Armytrix offers downpipes. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
