The F98 X4 M is the sportiest version of the SUV coupé derived from the X3, with which it shares platform and mechanicals. From 2019 it uses the S58 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six, developed by BMW M with a closed-deck block and a 3D-printed cylinder head core, rated at 480 PS or 510 in the Competition.
For the BMW X4 M (F98) Non-OPF (2019-2025), Armytrix offers the cat-back system with Valvetronic silencers and downpipes. Tips are available in chrome silver, blue coated, matte black, carbon and gold. Versions without a catalyst are for track use only.
Armytrix builds its exhausts in Taiwan, in T304 stainless steel and titanium, and is one of the brands that made valved exhausts affordable: the valve sends the gases through the silencer or around it, and it is controlled with the supplied remote or a smartphone app through a module plugged into the OBD port. Armytrix exhausts are not road approved in the European Union or Switzerland: they are intended for track use.
